Apprenticeships at the Lodge are future-oriented and anything but boring. Numerous activities offer you the opportunity to expand your knowledge in many directions, experience new things together, exchange ideas, and build new connections.
During this week, you will learn important facts about daily life at the Lodge. Where to find things, how staff meals work, where the first aid kits are located… From getting to know the room categories to safety briefings, a lot of informative, organizational, and general topics are covered during your first week.
During the Talent Exchange, our trainees visit partner hotels across Germany to experience work methods and operational workflows in other hotel environments. A trainee from the host hotel acts as your mentor and looks after you. After one week, roles are reversed, and that trainee learns about the operations in our hotel business.
The ELO Trainee Camp is a gathering place for trainees from the Exzellente Lernorte (ELO) hotel alliance. You will travel for two days to one of the ELO partner hotels across Germany. Here, general knowledge is imparted, specific workflows in conference hotels are presented, and a sense of community is intentionally fostered. Interactive workshops are just as much a part of the program as exchanging ideas with one another.
The annual trainee outing is a mix of infotainment and fun. Together, you hit the road. For example, you learn about our coffee and tea supplier, visit a local landmark, enjoy a meal together, or visit a leisure attraction…
A highlight in spring – visiting this international trade fair for gastronomy and the hotel industry in Hamburg. All the latest trends and innovations in our industry can be found and experienced here.
Once a year, our trainees take over the restaurant. Together, they create the menu, plan, cook, decorate, serve, and showcase their skills. Guests on this evening include family members, friends, and team members. A great opportunity to present their chosen career path to family and friends.
Exchange ideas in a great mood with good music, drinks, and snacks, and spend a wonderful evening together.
The azubi:web app offers great learning aids, supports you in exam preparation, and enables an online report book. Additionally, you can test your knowledge and challenge your colleagues to a quiz duel.
